In this time of strife, we bring to you a story of love, hope and sacrifice.
The Quarantine Princess is a play especially written for a virtual platform. It is an intriguing story of two very different people who meet in a setting dictated by circumstance, during the Corona lockdown. A short 26 minute production, the story has an amazing twist.
The play has been written by Shivjeet Kullar, a creative director with over a 100 awards, an event conceptualiser, author, columnist and ideator.
It is directed by Swati Sodhi, theatre actor, storyteller, drama teacher and founding director of Spin-a-Yarn Productions.
The Quarantine Princess features talented actors of repute- Deepak Mukarji, Ajay Lamba and Raabiya Marici.
This play is being selectively screened as a fundraiser for Samagraa, an NGO set up in 2018 in an attempt to bridge the academic gap that the EWS kids face in private mainstream schools of Delhi. A passion project started by a team of enthusiast social workers, teachers and philanthropists. Samagraa is a non profit, non government NGO with 12 A and 80G certifications. With a team of professional teachers on board Samagraa tutors children after school, offering a unique space for the EWS children from the mainstream schools for academic support, social skill development and also conducts various workshops for mental and psychological development. During the pandemic Samagraa moved on to the online mode of tutoring from the physical two hours of tutoring that was being done earlier. They have sustained the online mode of teaching all through the pandemic, through constantly innovating and upgrading the teaching methodologies.
