Papercut Making Workshop
Date: May 11th, 2024
Time: 11 am - 1 pm
Location: KNMA Saket
Join Karolina Merska, a London-based artist, for a unique Polish folk papercut-making workshop. Polish papercuts, known as "wycinanka," have been a popular folk craft since the 19th century. Traditionally, they adorned the interiors of Polish countryside homes, featuring shapes and colors that vary by region, showcasing traditional customs, scenes from rural life, flowers, peacocks, cockerels, and various animals as popular motifs. Each papercut is built from layers of colored paper. Inspired by Polish papercuts and vibrant folk art, Karolina will provide paper templates decorated with a variety of materials.
