About the Event

Get a chance to represent your college on a BIG SCREEN ! India's first BIG SCREEN E-SPORTS Tournament is happening in your city! 


Register your college team or friends from other colleges from the same city and get a chance to play live at the PVR and witness a breath taking experience like never before.

PHASE 1 - Intra College Cup (Online)


  • Single Elimination - Bo3 (Best of 3
  • Team Limit - 512 teams per City ( College Only).
  • Per Cup Tournament duration - 3 Days
  • Top teams from each cup go to Final Phase
  • Win Criteria: First team to score 40 points wins the match

Overview:


There will be an online qualifier in colleges for 3 days. The college students will have to make their own team and register and participate for the event. A day before the match day they will be emailed to join the discord channel where tournament events will be executed. Schedule brackets will be shared to teams there. Top teams from the respective cups will qualify for Lan Finals for that city. The 8 teams will have to travel to the Location to play. A college which will have more than 30+ Teams participating will have their own separate cup. If the number of teams for a college fall below 30 then they will be pooled among other colleges in the Open Cup for that city.


Zone Final Phase - Finals


  • Single Elimination - Best of 3 , Finals - Bo5
  • Format - LAN ( qualified teams have to go to the specified location for the lan finale)

Changes to General Rules and Competition-Specific Rules -


  • This tournament is being organized by NODWIN and PVR (hereinafter referred to as Organizers).
  • The tournament organisers may update, amend or supplement these General Rules and the Competition-Specific Rules from time to time, and may interpret or apply these General Rules and the Competition-Specific Rules by releasing online postings,emails or texts that provide instructions and guidance to Team Members. Any material changes to these General Rules or the Competition-Specific Rules will be provided to the Team’s Captain using the email address listed as part of the online registration process. Each Team Captain will be responsible for distributing updates and other communications relating to these General Rules and the Competition-Specific Rules to other Team Members. Participation in any Tournament will constitute acceptance of the changed rules, instructions and guidance.

Each kill grants 1 point.

Time duration  : 10 Minutes. If the time runs out and teams do not score 40 points then the team with the highest kill will be declared the winner.



Rules:


  • Usage of iPads and Tablets are restricted in the whole tournament. 

  • Any device which has a display of more than 7 inches is also banned from using in the tournament.

  • The use of emulators is strictly restricted from the tournament. If a player is found using an emulator, they will be removed from the tournament immediately.

  • Teams with less than 3 members in the lobby room will be removed before the start of the match.

  • Once the Participants have registered themselves as a Team they will play the Game in accordance with the schedule provided by the Organizer, and the Participants individually and/or the Team as a whole shall abide by the schedule and other rules and regulations of the Game/Website.

  • Team shall play with their own devices for the Online Grand Finals unless any notification is given from the tournament organisers for separate devices.

  • In the event of a technical failure in the online qualifier on the Participant’s end, or in the internet connection of either of the Participants, the Game will not be paused. Failing to correct the failure, the Team would have to forfeit the match and its participation would be held invalid. The Organizers would not be liable to compensate or provide an alternate chance of participation to the Participants/Team whatsoever, in case of any such failure/disruption or other technical issues.

  • Team indulging in providing false details such as fake identity documents, fake personal information, multiple identities, or using fake software, hacking tools, cheat codes, corrupt software etc., or undertaking any act which is against the spirit of fair competition,, along with any applicable laws and rules, would be disqualified with immediate effect without any liability for compensation or alternate opportunity to participate in this Contest.

  • For the purpose of this Contest, the Team would be recognized as a single unit and any non-compliance of these Terms and Conditions by any Participant would render the whole Team of which such non-compliant Participant is a member, as invalid.

  • Only such participation of Teams which comply with these Terms and Conditions, shall be held valid for the Contest. The decision of the Organizers with regard to eligibility of the Team shall be final (irrespective of the time when the non-compliance of these Terms and Conditions is discovered by the Organizers) and no claim or communication with respect to that participation by the Participant/Team shall be entertained by the Organizers.

  • The Prize to the Winning Team and Qualifying Team would be paid to the Team members after the deduction of all statutory taxes, in the bank account details provided by the Team.. The Organizers will not be responsible for the distribution of the Prize amongst the Team members. The liability of the Organizers is limited to the Prize being transferred to the bank account details provided by the Team members.

  • No queries/ clarifications/ suggestions/ communication etc. shall be entertained on operation/selection process, which would be entirely as per these Terms and Conditions or at the discretion of the Organizers.

  • All taxes/levies and charges on Prize will be the responsibility of the respective members of the Winner Teams, or defeated Finalist Team, as the case may be. Taxes as applicable will be deducted at the source for all Prize or shall be deposited in advance by the said respective winners and proof of such deposit shall be provided to the Organizers before claiming the Prize.

  • Organizers shall not be liable for any failure of Winning Teams to avail the Prize due to incorrect personal details or incorrect bank details / account number or any other incorrect information provided.

  • At the Organizer's request, Participants must participate in all promotional activity (such as publicity and photography) surrounding the winning of the Prize, free of charge, and they consent to the Organizers using their name, likeness, image and/or voice and/or video footage (including photograph, film and/or recording of the same) in promotional material or in any media for perpetuity without remuneration for the purpose of promoting and broadcasting this Tournament, through itself or its authorised third parties (including any outcome), and promoting any products manufactured, distributed and/or supplied by the Organizers.

  • The Organizers have the sole right to change any part of these Terms and Conditions as per their sole discretion. No communication from the Teams or any third party will be entertained in this regard.

2. Conditions of Participation in the Tournament 


Participants 

A tournament participant is a Player who is participating in the tournament. No Player can be part of more than one team while taking part in NODWIN PVR CUP.


Home Country/Region 

A Player’s home country is the country where his main place of residence is. The tournament is open to Indian citizens only. All teams need to ensure that the players/teams are currently studying in the college where the aforesaid Tournament qualifier is taking place. (For E.g in the Gurgaon Cup , the players have to be currently studying in the college of Gurgaon to be eligible to participate.)


Age 

In order to be eligible to participate in a Tournament as a player, an individual must have reached 16 years of age or older (i.e. the player has lived for at least 16 calendar years) as of the Tournament start date.


Number of Players in a Team

All teams participating in NODWIN PVR CUP can have a roster of 4 players in their core squad. A team can also register a substitute and it cannot be changed when it is registered. 


If a team has not registered a substitute, they request for a substitute to be added to their roster by requesting the league operations team at leagueops@nodwin.com but not more than 24 hours before the game start time. 


The team will not be allowed to change the substitute between the tournaments. The above rule only applies if the substitute slot was left empty during registration.


Adding a substitute is subjected to being approved by the league operations team.


In order to be eligible to play in the tournament, a team is required to have more than 50% of the registered squad present in the lobby to be able to play. Incase if a team is not able to get more than 50% of their team in the lobby for a match, they will be removed from the tournament.


Game Accounts 

Every Player must have their own Battle Grounds Mobile India character ID and must submit it during registration. The same cannot be changed once a tournament has begun.

Sharing of a Game account is strictly prohibited and once uncovered, necessary actions will be taken. 


Changes on the Team Accounts 

Any changes in the Team account should be approved by the Tournament administration before the changes are allowed to take place. The Team’s name will not be changed at any time during the Season without the prior written approval of the Tournament Officials. All Team names must be different and unique. Neither a Team’s name nor its logo may include any word or phrase in any language that is offensive, toxic or hurtful.

Transfer of the Team

The captain(s) cannot sell, assign or transfer the Team, the Team’s slot in the Cup and the other rights and privileges granted in the Competition Rules and in the Registration Rules (in whole but not in part) to a third party without the prior written consent of the Tournament Organizer.


Replacement Deadline 

Replacements will only be entered into the Tournament stages until a reasonable time before the beginning of the tournament phase. If by then no replacement could be found, the tournament may start with one less participant instead.


If a Team is for any reason unable to compete any more in the Tournament and is removed before the replacement deadline, the next best possible replacement will be called up. The tournament organizers shall have the sole right to decide on the next possible replacement. Replacement teams will be considered and contacted to ask whether or not they want to participate. 


Teams are not allowed to change names mid-tournament. 


Punctuality 

All matches in the Tournament should start as stated on the Discord, no changes to the time can be requested. All Teams and Players in a match should be on the server or in the game lobby and ready to go at the latest 15 minutes before the match is to start. 


Match Timings

Match timings are absolute unless changes have been confirmed by the Tournament administration.

All participants are informed that the matches could be delayed due to the previous match being played for a longer time than scheduled, technical issues, and the participants agree to such delays. Under no circumstance, such delays entitle the participants to report late for a match. 


No Show 

If a qualified team withdraws from the tournament and does not attend the finale, they agree to forfeit their unpaid prize money and the next best possible team will be invited to attend the grand.


Communication

The official mode of communication is email and the Discord Channel. The private discord link will be emailed to the captain to join the channel after registrations are over.


Interviews 

In addition to this, players may also be required for interviews with members of the Press and/or organizers throughout the tournament. 


4.CODE of CONDUCT


4.1.1. High Standards for Professionals. All Teams and Team Members must observe the highest standards of personal integrity and good sportsmanship at all times.   Team Members must behave in a professional and sportsmanlike manner in their interactions with other competitors, Tournament Officials, the Tournament Organizer, the media, sponsors and fans.


4.1.2. Competitive Integrity. All Teams and Team Members are expected to compete to the best of their skill and ability at all times in any Tournament Game.


4.1.3. Sanctions.   A violation of these General Rules or the applicable Competition-Specific Rules will result in sanctions at the discretion of the Tournament Organizer, as discussed in greater detail below. All decisions made by the Tournament Organizer and Tournament Officials in regard to violations of these General Rules and the applicable Competition-Specific Rules are final and binding.


4.2.     

Prohibited Conduct


Set forth below is a non-exclusive list of examples of prohibited conduct.


4.2.1.  Collusion. Any form of collusion by any Team Members is prohibited.

Examples of collusion are:


(A)    Any agreement among two or more players or other Team Members not to play to a reasonable standard of competition in a Tournament Game in order to provide any opposing Team or player with certain advantages or benefits.


(B)    Pre-arranging to split prize money and/or any other form of compensation, except that a Team may arrange for Owners to divide prizes earned by that Team and pay it to players and others who contributed to the victory.


(C)    Deliberately losing a Tournament Game for compensation, or for any other reason, or attempting to induce another player to do so.


4.2.2. Cheating. Cheating is prohibited. Any modification of the Battle Grounds Mobile India game client by any player, Team or other Team Member is prohibited. The use of any kind of cheating device or cheat program, or any similar cheating method such as signaling devices, hand signals, talcum powder and cell phone screen protectors, etc., shall be deemed cheating. Downloading any cheat program to the device used for Competition matches is strictly prohibited and may result in a game ban and other penalties.


Intentionally playing with another player in a public match for two or more matches within 72 hours while having knowledge of the other player using a cheating device or cheat program, or any similar cheating method is prohibited as well.


4.2.3. Exploiting. Intentionally using any in-game bug to seek an advantage is exploiting and is prohibited. Exploiting includes acts such as making use of any game function that, in the Tournament Organizer’s sole judgement, is not functioning as intended and violates the design purpose of Battle Grounds Mobile India.


4.2.4. Ringing. Playing under another player’s account or Gamertag, or soliciting or inducing someone else to play under another player’s account or GamerTag, is prohibited.


4.2.5. Vulgar or Hateful Speech. A Team Member may not, during a LAN Event, Online Event, media interview or in any communication relating to any Competition of BGMI, use any language that is offensive, insulting, libelous, slanderous, defamatory, obscene, discriminatory, threatening, foul or vulgar.  A Team Member may not post, transmit, disseminate any such prohibited communications. A Team Member may not use this type of language on social media or during any public-facing events or in any streaming of Battle Grounds Mobile India. This rule applies to speech in English, and all other languages. In addition, Team Members may not encourage members of the public to engage in any activities that are prohibited by this rule.


4.2.6. Violence.  Team Members are expected to settle their differences in a respectful manner and without resort to violence, threats, or intimidation (physical or non-physical). Violence is never permitted at LAN Event or against any competitor, fan or Tournament Official.


4.2.7. Drugs and Alcohol. The use, possession, distribution or sale of controlled substances, such as drugs or alcohol, or being under the influence of such controlled substances, is strictly prohibited while a Team Member is engaged in any Tournament or other event or on premises that are owned by or leased to the Tournament Organizer. The unauthorized use or possession of prescription drugs by a Team Member is prohibited. Prescription drugs may be used only by the person to whom they are prescribed and in the manner, combination and quantity as prescribed. Prescription drugs may only be used to treat the condition for which they are prescribed and may not be used to enhance performance in a Tournament Game.  Each Team

Members must report any violation of this rule to the Tournament Organizer.


4.2.8. Gambling. Gambling on the outcome of Tournament Games (including any plays or components of a Tournament Game) can pose a serious threat to the integrity of, and public confidence in, the Tournament.  Team Members are not allowed to (a) place, or attempt to place, bets on any Tournament Games (or any plays or components thereof), or (b) associate with high volume gamblers, or deliver information to others that might influence their bets.



4.3.   Unprofessional Behavior


Set forth below is a non-exclusive list of examples of unprofessional behavior, all of which are prohibited.


4.3.1. Harassment.  Harassment is prohibited.  Harassment is defined as systematic, hostile and repeated acts taking place over a period of time, or a singular egregious instance, which is/are intended to isolate or ostracize a person and/or diminish the dignity of the person.


4.3.2. Sexual Harassment. Sexual harassment is prohibited. Sexual Harassment is defined as unwelcome sexual advances.  The assessment is based on whether the person being harassed would regard the conduct as undesirable or offensive. There is zero tolerance for any sexual threats/coercion or the promise of advantages in exchange for sexual favors.


4.3.3. Discrimination and Denigration.  Team Members may not offend the dignity or integrity of a country, private person or group of people through contemptuous, discriminatory or denigrating words or actions on account of race, skin color, ethnic, national or social origin, gender, language, religion, political opinion or any other opinion, financial status, birth or any other status, sexual orientation or any other reason.


4.3.4. Defamatory Statements. Team Members may not make, issue, authorize or publish any statement that denigrates, disparages or defames any Official Competition, Tournament Organizer, Tournament Official, or its affiliates, sponsors, or BattleGrounds Mobile India.


4.3.5. Confidentiality. Without the consent of the Tournament Organizer, a Team Member may not disclose any confidential or proprietary information provided or made available by the Tournament Organizer to the Team Member in relation to any Official Competition. Team Members shall be obligated to keep confidential or proprietary information provided by the Tournament Organizer. The “confidential or proprietary information” of the Tournament Organizer includes all information and materials disclosed (whether in oral, written, or other tangible or intangible form) or otherwise made available by the Tournament Organizer to a Team Member concerning or related to Battle Grounds Mobile India.


4.3.6. Illegal Activity. Team Members must comply with all applicable laws at all times. A Team Member may not engage in any activity which is in violation with laws, regulations or public security administration rules.


4.3.7. Immoral Activity. A Team Member may not engage in any activity which, in the sole determination of the Tournament Organizer, is unethical, immoral or disgraceful.


4.3.8. Bribery. No Team Member may offer any gift or cash or other reward to a player, coach, manager, other Team Member, Tournament Official, the Tournament Organizer or any other person connected with or employed by another Team in order to influence the outcome of a Tournament Game.


4.3.9. Gifts. No Team Member may accept any gift, reward or compensation from another Team or player (or anyone acting on behalf of another team or player) in connection with any Tournament.


4.3.10. Non-Compliance.  No Team Member may refuse to comply with the instructions or decisions of the Tournament Organizer or the Tournament Officials.


4.3.11. Match-Fixing. No Team Member may offer, agree, or conspire to fix a match or take any other action to intentionally and unfairly alter, or attempt


to alter, the results of any Tournament Game (or any play or component thereof). Match-fixing will be subject to maximum penalty in each instance. If a Team Member is asked to “fix” the outcome of a Tournament Game or to otherwise take part in any actions prohibited by these General Rules or the applicable Competition-Specific Rules, that Team Member must immediately report this request to the Tournament Organizer.


4.3.12. Document Submission. Tax forms, registration forms, parental consents and other documentation may be required at various times by the Tournament Organizer. A Team Member violates these General Rules if he or she knowingly provides false or inaccurate information to the Tournament Organizer. A Team may be subject to sanctions if the documentation is not completed to the standards set by the Tournament Organizer.



4.3.13. Drop Outs and Refusals to Participate. If a Team Member or Team registers for, or agrees to participate in, any Official Competition, he or she may not, without the prior written consent of the Tournament Organizer, drop out or refuse to participate in any Tournament Game or other related event held during the applicable Season. An unexcused absence from a Tournament Game after the registration process is complete may result in sanctions, as provided in Section 4.4 below.


4.4.   Disciplinary Action and Sanctions


4.4.1. Investigations by the Tournament Organizer. The Tournament Organizer will have the right to monitor compliance with these General Rules and the applicable Competition-Specific Rules and investigate possible breaches. By agreeing to these General Rules, each Team Member agrees to cooperate with the Tournament Organizer in any internal or external investigation that the Tournament Organizer conducts relating to a suspected violation of these General Rules, the applicable Competition-Specific Rules or applicable law. Team Members have a duty to tell the truth in connection with any investigation conducted by or for the Tournament Organizer and have a further duty not to obstruct any such investigation, mislead investigators or withhold evidence.


4.4.2. Sanctions. If the Tournament Organizer determines that a Team Member or a Team has committed a violations of these General Rules or the Registration Requirements, the Tournament Organizer may, in its reasonable discretion, issue any or all of the following disciplinary actions: (a) verbal or written public warning(s); (b) prize forfeiture(s); (c) game forfeiture(s), (d) Tournament forfeiture(s); (e) forfeiture(s) of a slot; (f) suspension(s); and (g) disqualification(s) and ban(s), including from any future Tournaments or other events related to BGMI or other


video games or esports properties owned or controlled by Nodwin. 


6.4.3. Repeated Infractions.  Repeated infractions are subject to escalating penalties, up to and including disqualification from participation in Competitions.


6.4.4. Final Determinations. Unless expressly stated otherwise, offenses and infringements of these General Rules and the applicable Competition- Specific Rules are punishable, whether or not they were committed intentionally. Attempts to commit such offenses or infringements are also punishable.   The Tournament Organizer’s determination as to the appropriate disciplinary action (or combination of disciplinary actions) will be final and binding.


Breach of Etiquette 

For an orderly and pleasant game, it is essential that all Players have a sporting and fair attitude. The most important and most common offenses are listed below. However, the Tournament administration may assign penalties for not explicitly listed types of unsportsmanlike behavior (e.g. harassment). 


Insults 

All insults occurring in connection with the Tournament will be punished. This primarily applies to insults during a match but also on the tournament website or Facebook page. Insults on IRC, IM programs, email, or other means of communication will be punished if the evidence is clear. 

Particularly severe abuse cases with radical statements or the threat of physical violence can result in significantly heavier penalties including the exclusion or the ban of the Player from the Tournament. The ban duration will be decided from the tournament administration depending on the nature of the case.


Spamming 

The excessive posting of senseless, harassing or offensive messages are regarded as spamming in the Tournament. Spamming on the tournament website and Facebook page will be punished depending on nature and severity. 


Spamming In-game 

Penalties will be awarded if the chat function in-game is abused towards the goal of annoying the opponent, or generally stirring the flow of the play.


Unsportsmanlike Behaviour 

For an orderly and pleasant game, it is essential that all Players have a sportive and fair attitude. Breaches of this rule will be punished. However, the Tournament administration may assign penalties for not explicitly listed types of unsportsmanlike behavior (e.g. harassment). 


Misconduct 

The attempt to mislead admins or other Players, using false information, or in any other way deceive other Players or Teams will be punished. Common offenses are mentioned below. 

a) Faking Match media 

b) When cheating is suspected, and the match media in question has been faked, then six minor penalty points will be awarded. 

c) Ringer/Faker 

d) Playing with Disallowed Player 

e) Misleading admins or players 


Cheating 

When cheating is uncovered, The Team will be disqualified from the current Tournament. 

When cheating is uncovered, the player in question will suffer a ban from as per Esports Integrity Coalition (ESIC).

Teammates who were aware of cheating by their fellow teammate will also be banned as per Esports Integrity Coalition (ESIC) 


Betting or gambling 

No Players, Team managers, staff or management of attending organizations may be involved in betting or gambling, associate with betters or gamblers, or provide anyone any information that may assist betting or gambling, either directly or indirectly, for any of the Tournament matches or the Tournament in general. Any betting or gambling for/against your own organization’s matches will lead to immediate disqualification of the organization for all persons involved. Any other violation will be penalized at the sole discretion of the Tournament administration. 


ESIC Compliance 

In the situation that any team or any player is found to be using unethical means to gain an unfair advantage during the matches or is found to be a cheater at any time in the past in the relevant game, the organizers reserve the right to suspend the gamer for a period of upto 2 years from the tournament, as per an ESIC Ruling (which will be taken as per their integrity program, details: http://www.esportsintegrity.com/the-esic-integrity-programme) on the case and the right to relegate the remaining players to the Starter Cup. 

The affected team in such a case also loses the right to any unclaimed prize monies and the right to play the remainder of the matches in the current tournament. 

The tournament organizers reserve the right to immediately withdraw any travel or stay support extended to the said team on an immediate basis.
