If you're looking to up your sustainability game, composting is a perfect step! The magical✨ art of composting has so many benefits - it helps lower our waste footprint 👣, improve our soil and even slows down climate change.
By composting our food waste (which is usually around 50-60% of a household's trash) we are diverting our waste from dumping grounds. Compost also makes for fantastic nutrient-rich food for plants and when added to soil aids in carbon sequestration! 🌱
In this workshop, come learn the incredible art of composting where nature shows us how recycling is done! Learn about the different types of composting, what to keep in mind while choosing a composter, how does one really get started with aerobic composting and some simple tips to keep in mind for beginners.
As folks are looking to do their bit to tackle climate action, there's no better time or shubh muhrat to start than now! 🙌🏽
Who is this workshop for
Our workshop is great for anyone who is keen to start composting and doesn't know how to start. It's also a great place to meet and connect with folks who are on their zero waste journey.

This is a one hour workshop from 11 am to 12 pm
About Skrap
Skrap is a social enterprise that helps events, organisations and individuals adopt zero waste practices and sustainability solutions. Our aim is to minimize the amount of waste that ends up in our local landfills, villages and oceans. And instead transform this waste into valuable resources by reusing, recycling and composting.
About the Facilitator
Shipra Agarwal leads sustainability workshops at Skrap. She is a facilitator and programme executer with expertise in the fields of education, sustainability and sanitation. Shipra has facilitated over 450+ hours of sustainability-themed sessions with over 2000 children and adults in the last four years.
