How to be a more effective and authentic communicator.
This workshop will be a 2-day workshop spread over two hours each day. Sheena will take participants through exercises that will help them address various areas of concern regarding communication.
All participants will be asked to bring in something that they would like to work on. This could be a past presentation, or simply something that they have written.
- What makes a good communicator? How do we identify the skills that we need to work on?
- Why communication is like storytelling. What can the storyteller teach us about being an effective communicator.

About the facilitator
Sheena Khalid is a theatre director, writer, actor and drama facilitator based in Mumbai. She is a founding member of the theatre company - Patchworks Ensemble. She has trained in Physical Theatre at the London International School of Performing Arts. She has conducted training workshops for Axis Bank, Piramal, Kotak Mahindra Bank, BNP Paribas, HUL, S P Jain School of Global Management and other independent workshops for non- actors and working professionals. These training workshops include group building, public speaking, gender sensitivity, creativity in the workspace and understanding body language. She also conducts personal one on one sessions for private clients on public speaking and presentation making. More recently she has developed a workshop series called “Captivate” which focuses on public speaking and confidence building skills for working women. She has spent a lot of time exploring ideas of solo storytelling. She has developed modules which she takes into classrooms and offices around the country.
Kommune is India’s premier platform for great art and great artists, and has built communities of creators across the country. In the last year, Kommune has conducted over 5 bootcamps and pitch fests on podcasting. And has organized over 30 workshops and story slams across various themes and genres.
